Goose Cut 'Everything Must Go' at Dreamland Studios in Hurley
The band's first album in three years arrived April 25 on No Coincidence Records, recorded partly in the Hudson Valley and marking the studio debut of drummer Cotter Ellis.

Everything Must Go, the first Goose album in three years, was released on April 25, 2025 through No Coincidence Records. The 14-track record was recorded in part at Dreamland Studios in Hurley, New York.
It is the band’s first studio release with drummer Cotter Ellis, who replaced Ben Atkind. The credited lineup is Rick Mitarotonda on vocals and guitar, Peter Anspach on vocals, keys and guitar, Trevor Weekz on bass and Ellis on drums.
D. James Goodwin produced the album and also recorded, mixed and mastered it.
A Hudson Valley studio and a Virginia mixing room
Beyond Dreamland, additional recording took place at The Chateau and The Isokon. Goodwin handled mixing and mastering at The Isokon in Timberville, Virginia, with additional engineering by Gillian Pelkonen.
The Isokon has turned up in the band’s credits before, including on the sessions covered here when Dripfield came together.
Mitarotonda on the shape of the record
Mitarotonda described the album as moving through time without following a straight line. “It moves through time for us, but not in a tidy, linear way. It mixes different moods and ideas and characters,” he said.
Of the arrangement work, he said: “The arrangement came together in real-time just as the band was emerging from this difficult moment.”
A single played live a year early
Lead single “Give It Time” had first been performed live in April 2024, a full year before the album carrying it reached release. The band has previously moved material between the stage and the studio in the same way, as with the songs on Shenanigans Nite Club.
The album was issued as a 3-LP set on 180-gram vinyl, including a limited red, yellow and blue ecomix variant.
A summer tour built around the release
The Everything Must Go Summer Tour runs from May 25 through June 29, 2025. The routing includes the band’s Madison Square Garden debut on June 28 and a date at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven on June 29.
Festival dates announced alongside the album include BottleRock, Bonnaroo, All Good Now and Mountain Jam.
