Billy Strings Announces 'So Much for Goodbyes,' With Cover Art by His Late Mother

Billy Strings announced his fifth studio album overnight, and it is plainly the heaviest record he has made. So Much for Goodbyes is out August 28, 16 tracks, produced by Strings and T Bone Burnett.

The announcement came with a video for the lead single, Burn the Other End.

The cover art is an original piece by Strings’ mother, Debra Apostol, who died suddenly in June 2025. That detail reframes the whole thing before a note of it has been heard.
