GrassRoots Announces Its 34th Year: Rhiannon Giddens, Taj Mahal, Del McCoury Band
Four days and four stages return to the Trumansburg Fairgrounds July 16-19, with more than 80 acts.

The Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance has its 34th lineup out, and the top of the bill is hard to argue with: Rhiannon Giddens, Taj Mahal, and the Del McCoury Band.
The festival runs July 16-19 at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds across four days and four stages. Also on the bill are Latin Grammy-winning Venezuelan cuatro masters C4 Trio, returning Ukrainian folk quartet DakhaBrakha, and American roots reggae founders John Brown’s Body. More than 80 additional artists fill out the rest of the schedule.
That is three separate generations of American roots music holding down the headline slots, which is the thing GrassRoots has always done better than festivals four times its size.
