Donna the Buffalo Headline a Limited-Capacity GrassRoots Weekend in Trumansburg
The band is headlining Friday and Saturday at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds over a July 23 to 25 weekend, part of a limited-capacity concert series standing in for the cancelled 2021 GrassRoots Festival.

Donna the Buffalo announced on June 4, 2021 that the band would play a full weekend of live music at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds from July 23 through 25, headlining Friday and Saturday.
Capacity is limited and camping is available, with tickets and the schedule handled through grassrootsfest.org.
“Limited capacity so don’t linger. Schedule up soon and yes there is camping. Can’t wait to see you all!” the band said in its announcement.
What replaced the festival
The GrassRoots Festival Weekend sits inside a wider run of limited-capacity concerts billed as Finger Lakes GrassRoots Live!, staged on the Infield Stage at the fairgrounds from July 9 to 31, 2021. The series was assembled after the traditional festival was cancelled in March 2021.
Tickets are sold as physically distanced PODS seating up to four people, with a separate dance area for vaccinated attendees.
Other acts booked across the wider July series include Railroad Earth, Galactic, Sam Bush Band, Spin Doctors, Rochester’s The Campbell Brothers and Danielle Ponder.
The festival’s full-scale form returns in later years, including the 34th annual GrassRoots lineup. Its earlier shape is visible in the archive, among it the 2011 Finger Lakes GrassRoots lineup.

Donna the Buffalo headline a bill that also carries The Campbell Brothers, Kiran Ahluwalia, Keith Secola, Feufollet, Jennie Lowe, The New Planets, Drank The Gold, Leah Grady Sayvetz and Bubba George.
Saturday, July 24
The longest of the three days pairs Donna the Buffalo with Kinobe, Sim Redmond Band, Jim Lauderdale, Gunpoets, Richie & Rosie, Maddy Walsh and The Blind Spots, Cortadito, Western Centuries, Bobby Henrie and the Goners, Jeb And Friends, Vicious Fishes and Feufollet.
Sunday, July 25
The closing day lists Keith Secola, Fabi World Music Trio, Jeverson, Rose & The Bros, K.C. Jones and Western Centuries. An All Star Revue is also scheduled for Sunday.
