G.P.G.D.S is defining east coast reggae every night out with its intense dubs, melodic guitar play, and amazing improv. The band finally had a chance to play the “Pirate Ship” aka Nietzsche’s in Buffalo, NY and raised the roof with two sets

of intense original reggae. The bands music can be described as lively, roots reggae, with soul, and a psychedelic appeal.
After playing a few shows in the suburbs it was great to see the band play before a heady crowd in downtown Buffalo. The band from Rochester is fresh off an east coast tour with west coast reggae sensations Rebelution that saw them playing from NY to Florida. 2009 is already looking like a great year for the band.
In addition to their non-stop touring the band will be releasing their first live album and 2nd album titled Live Up in the next few weeks. The album will contain many live tracks chosen from the 180 shows the band played in 2008.
In 2009 they recently converted their Dodge Sprint tour bus to operate on waste vegetable oil. The operation was done by genius mechanic Wally Little. You can check out more on this technology at allyssuperservice.com. The band is currently looking for good grease nationwide while they are on tour. In addition if you bring good grease to a GPGDS show you can get in for free!
G.P.G.D.S - Nietzsche’s Buffalo, NY
This set includes some classic GPGDS as well some new songs. The crowd stuck around until 1:30am this past Thursday and was begging for more at the nights end. GPGDS is one of the best live reggae acts currently on tour. We’re lucky to have them play Buffalo as much as they do.
