Kevin Kinsella | 2 New Records In ’09
I had a chance to catch up with Kevin Kinsella recently and he has some great news. First he has just announced dates in California with John Browns Body. This will be Kevin’s first appearance with his former love since leaving the band in 2006. For those of you in Cali you’re in for an intense show that includes the best of future roots riddims and soul reggae all in one evening.
Kevin will return to California a few weeks later backed by California based reggae artists Raiz Muzik
Kevin also said the much anticipated 10. Foot Ganja Plant album titled Bush Rock will be out on ROIR records this July with a guest appearance by Kyle from Slightly Stoopid. 10 Ft. Ganja Plant is a side project of Kevin’s features a consortium of different musicians dedicated to playing original old school 70′s reggae. This will be the groups sixth album since 2000.
Lastly, Kevin’s new band Food, Clothes, & Shelter hit the studio back in January. They expect to release an album of new material later this year or in 2010. When I asked him if they had hit the studio he confirmed and went on to say “We’re off to an awesome start to something beautiful!”
