Our family looks forward to this festival every year. Probably one of the best kept festival secrets in north east. Donna The Buffalo who hosts the event is joined this year by Rusted Root, The Horseflies, & Town Pants among many others. The Great Blue Heron Festival is approaching its 18th year joining the Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival as one of the longest running festivals in America. It’s a 3 day festival and takes place July 4th weekend.
The festival features over 100 performers, a main stage, a dance tent, old time jam/songwriters circle, drum workshop hosted by Jim Donovan, 300+ acres in the heart of Amish country side, hiking trails, swimming area with sandy beach, kids tent, kids area, hiking trails, and dozens of food and merchandise vendors.
