Docufest: Music | Ambiance | Production to Partner with New Site

BandsThatJam.com, an internet source for the growing Jam Band industry, was recently acquired by a group of investors dedicated to expanding the website in its ongoing coverage. This initiative will be led by Benjamin Slayter, a long-time contributor and founder of Slayter Creative, and his wife, Erin Slayter, who founded The Sweaty Mouse in 1999.

While covering this international market with show and CD reviews and industry news BandsThatJam.com will assume a large role in the community with open discussions, podcasts, and interactive multimedia content provided to mobile devices. The site will feature professional content by the Docufest: Music | Ambiance | Production team which recently curated the crowd-sourced photography and video for the Electric Forest Festival 2011, produced by Madison House Presents.

The new owners would like to thank Peter Stergion and his team for providing the crowd and means through which to display the collective works of professionals throughout the world. Peter has worked to establish a following of over 2,000 Facebook fans and 4,000 Twitter followers since 2007. The new BandsThatJam.com team is centered on a mission to recruit active fans by providing enriched content and a more dynamic user experience. Additional photographers, videographers, writers, and sponsors will be added to the team in the weeks and months ahead.

The core group of investors includes Production Manager Bo Fallin, Video Producer Dominic Cochran, Webmaster Jay Miller, Marketing & Advertising Coordinator Rachel Wells, and photographer Emily Stout. Pietro Truba, writer for Detroit Metro Mix and contributor at Relix.com will provide Editorial support. BandsThatJam.com’s previous owner Peter Stergion, photographer Tammy Wetzel, interviewer McClain Johnson, contributor Johhny Goff and other former contributors will continue to submit content.
