Hogan here! I went to the '95 Halloween Show. Phish played the entire Beatles White Album. I was 1' from the stage right in front of Mike Gordon. Mike and Trey pulled out the tramplolines in their 3rd set, so around 3am and bounced through a few songs. It was an awesome show!

  • I have never had the opportunity to see the boys live but am a big fan! I did get up close and personal with the hot dog, fries and drink at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland last year. Love the music and looking forward to the opportunity to see you guys in Jacksonville.

    mike tour '09 = "a par-tay on the lamp-post".

I am more excited about this upcoming tour than the runs with Leo...just because it seems Mike has really found a voice during ph 3.0

not necessarily his own human voice, but just more of a say in how grooves develop night to night on ph 3.0 tour.

Having blown nearly my entire 401k on 12 ph-shows this year, I found myself latching on to the thinner, leaner Mike night in and night out as tour unravelled. He is stronger, wiser and his jams were concise and exploratory. While everyone else was seemingly latched on to Big Red's every C-note, i was literally finding myself looking at strangers during shows and asking, "Do you hear MIke going off or is it just me?"....Minutes later, many would respond, "you're right man. Mike is killing it".

simply put, Keep the jams coming from Mike. Keep those quirky updates on his damn hotline. Keep the weight off and the purple pants on, because whatever he's been doing in '09 has been all right with me.

Cacti don't grow in Wisconsin. Too cold. But they'll be in full bloom come September 26. Watch out where you dance- those spines hurt.
  • I taught Michael how to swim. How bout them apples? Oh, and here is a great Cactus T-Shirt. Yes, I am pimping my t-shirts. Is that even legal?

  • I saw Mike last time he was in NYC, at the Highline Ballroom. The reason so many people are so dedicated to Mike/Phish/et al. is that they seem so happy and appreciative when they're on stage. The show at Highline was filled with guests, fun covers, great new originals, and a crowd unusually focused for this town on the music, not chattering or texting or what have you. I'm really looking forward to the show at MHOW. And Festival 8. And partying at the lamppost, although some guy sucked my brain and I've already forgetting about the jugglers with fire.
