Buffalo Rocks The Harbor 2011 Lineup
BUFFALO, NY – Buffalo Place has announced all of the acts for the 2011 Rocks The Harbor concert series. Flogging Molly is the latest band to be added to the downtown concert series by Buffalo Place. They will perform with special guest Badfish (a Sublime tribute band) on Sunday, July 31st at Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor at the Erie Canal Harbor Central Wharf. The punk/celtic band is touring this summer in support of their latest album Speed of Darkness which is expected to release on May 31, 2011 under their own new record label Borstal Beat Records. Last Friday the band opened for moe. at the Erie Harbor Marina in Buffalo. This weekend for the 4th of July Donna will be hosting the Great Blue Heron Music Festival in Sherman, NY. Two weeks later they will be hosting the Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival just outside of Ithaca, NY. Ryan Montbleau’s band played first and then stayed on stage for for Martin Sexton set. This was a bonus for us because we got see the band we came to see play two long sets.

Last year we witnessed the band play Art Park in nearby Lewiston NY at probably the best venue in WNY. Gov’t Mule made the trek up river this year and played the best rock/blues in the country for the Buffalo faithful. This year the Erie Harbor Basin was the party spot for the rock legends massive following. The crowd here was the biggest we’ve seen at the waterfront with Warren attracting the old timers, bikers, and the festival kids as well.
