The surviving members of The Grateful Dead will be performing a series of shows this spring starting with an April 12th show in Greensborough, NC. From the Official Grateful Dead website. The lineup for this edition of The Dead will be the same one that rocked the house at Penn State last fall at the Obama benefit: The Core Four of Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, joined by guitar monster Warren Haynes and RatDog keyboard ace Jeff Chimenti (both veterans of the 2004 Dead “Wave That Flag” tour). Phil Lesh & Friends are giving the Warfield a closing party that will go down as one of the best runs by any band at this famed venue. Grateful Dead Sirius Channel Launches today!

The parking lot was awesome with Shake Down street rivaling that of Mountain Jam 2007 earlier this year. Hippies were everywhere in thier finest. The police presence was quite a buzz kill.
