McClain Johnson: How did the concept for TRI studios come together? How did it get started? Bob Weir: It was a long, involved process. I picked up a recording console, an API recording console. Can’t wait to see these guys headline Hoxeyville in August. Keller’s Friend of the Devil was an inspired, respectful, and oh so Keller. Mickey and Bill got their groove on and made me remember the drums at Rothbury. Enjoy!

The Band 1973 Roosevelt Stadium Jersey City, NJ | MP3

One of the most influencial bands of all time. The Band has influenced countless bands, songwriters, and performers, from the Grateful Dead and Beatles to Eric Clapton and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Other bands have covered their songs including Umphrey’s McGee, Widespread Panic, Derek Trucks Band, & The Black Crowes. This is a fantastic close-miked stereo soundboard bootleg. Fantastic performances by all members of the band, with extended jams. You can download stream and download FREE MP3′s for this show from Tauthaul.com. This show is the second night of a two day run at the now defunct Roosevelt Stadium in New Jersey. I was able to find these details on The Band’s website. There…

The Dead | Buffalo, NY | 04.21.09 | PICS MP3

The Dead played their 7th show of their spring tour this past Tuesday in Buffalo. I wasn’t able to make it as my son was born in the wee hours on 4/21. My friends said it was great show although the first set was a little too slow for some of their tastes. One of our nurses at the hospital went to the show. When we saw her the next day she said it was an amazing show and entire section was dancing even in the narrow aisles of the 300 level at HSBC Arena. Here’s excerpt from The Buffalo News about the show: Opening with “Promised Land,” and proceeding through a first set that…

MarcP at splinteredsunlight.com took it upon himself to contact The Dead and get them added to The Archive. Here’s what he had to say….. TODAY I got permission from ‘The Dead’ to open a section on the Live Music Archive to host ALL the Audience recordings from the upcoming tour (and all the past tours billed as The Dead) I was a member of the team that…
