The Brew from Amesbury, MA are maturing before our very eyes. We first covered this up and coming jam band a yeah and half ago when they first started playing in Buffalo, NY. Since then the band has released their 3rd studio album titled “Back To The Woods.” In this set from Ghent, NY The Brew played several classic originals such as “Faces” and “Seen It All.” It also includes several songs off new album including “Black Train” & “Seen It All.” One of my favorite tracks from this set is “Radio Swiss” off the bands 2006 Album “The Key.” This is an excellent soundboard recording for your collection. For full set list and lossless...

The Brew are an aptly named quartet from Amesbury, a town in northeastern Massachusetts, cooking up a musical melting pot on their newly, self-released album, Back to the Woods, that combines their roots in classic rock, adding ingredients of prog, jazz, reggae, world beat, indie, funk and orchestral pop, sometimes in the course of a single song. Their eclectic stylistic palette can be heard clearly on Back to the Woods, from the tribal world beat and prog-rock of “Seen It All” and the reggae rhythm of “Looking Down” to the jazz-funk and Sting-like vocal on “Control,” the lush Beach Boys a cappella harmonies of the title track and the Queen-like overkill of “Castle Walls” and...

Last month we cruised The Archive and discovered The Brew a band that jams from Boston. A few weeks after featuring them here on bandsthatjam.net they were nominated for a Jammy for “Best New Artist.” On Wednesday the boys threw down a sick set at Nieztches in Buffalo. Back in the 90′s many bands that were getting started like Gov’t Mule, YMSB, and Donna The Buffalo played to small crowds in their early years at this great venue…. The band was founded in 2002 when long time friends Dave Drouin (guitars/vocals) and...
