Gov’t Mule: New Live Album 1999 NYE 3-Disc ‘Mulennium’
The new album released today features Original Mule Lineup, Blues Legend Little Milton And The Black Crowes’ Audley Freed. December 31, 1999 ushered in a new century and millennium and called for something truly magical – and that night’s Gov’t Mule show at Atlanta’s historic Roxy Theatre delivered it. What made this New Years Eve show so extraordinary? For starters, Little Milton, one of Warren Haynes’ most important influences, joins Gov’t Mule for six songs including “I Can’tQuit You Baby” and “It Hurts Me Too.” ‘Mulennium’ also marks the 10th anniversary of Allen Woody’s death and is the first official release featuring the original Gov’t Mule trio issued since his passing. ‘Mulennium’ features Gov’t Mule’s…

Gov’t Mule Rocks The Harbor 08.02.2009 Buffalo NY
Last year we witnessed the band play Art Park in nearby Lewiston NY at probably the best venue in WNY. Gov’t Mule made the trek up river this year and played the best rock/blues in the country for the Buffalo faithful. This year the Erie Harbor Basin was the party spot for the rock legends massive following. The crowd here was the biggest we’ve seen at the waterfront with Warren attracting the old timers, bikers, and the festival kids as well. Warren opened the set with John The Revolver and had those who brought chairs on their feet by the time he got into the 2nd song Banks On The Deep End. Warren opened the…

Mountain Jam 2009 Lineup
Warren Haynes returns to Hunter Mountain for the 5th annual Mountain Jam Festival May 29th to May 31st. This years acts include a Sunday night headlining performance by The Allman Brothers Band and of course two nights of Gov’t Mule on Friday and Saturday night. This is one festival that really puts a great focus on jam band artists. This years lineup features Umphrey’s McGee who put on a killer show last year as well as U-Melt, The Brew, Porter Batiste Stoltz & many others. Two years ago I had the pleasure of going to this show and it was a blast regardless of the 3 days of torrential downpours. One of the things I…
Bonnaroo 2009 Lineup
June 11th – 14th 2009 Bonnaroo returns for it’s 7th year with a little bit of everything for all types of music fans. This festival is no longer the jam band staple that it was in its early years when Phil Lesh & Friends played before 100,000 people in a farmers field but with the addition of Phish to the lineup we’re going to give it some press here at BandsThatJam. Since being bought by Clear Channel the festival has taken on a more alternative line up with a much more commercialized atmosphere. This is obvious with top 40 radio band Bruce Springton as the headliner. It looks like festival organizers came to their senses…
