MOHAWK, NY – The official moe.down facebook page began leaking the first round of bands for moe.down XII yesterday – and they are happy to announce Ween, The Levon Helm Band (plus a very Special Guest TBA), Ozomatli, Railroad Earth, Empire Sound and Rubblebucket.More bands are expected to be announced soon. The festival is celebrating it’s 12th year. The initial lineup has been announced for the 11th anual moe.down 2010! “moe. is very excited to announce the first round of artists for their annual Labor Day weekend festival. moe. The Black Keys, Built to Spill Tortoise Ryan Montbleau Band The Brew. This past Thursday night moe. was inducted into the Buffalo Hall of Fame. The band who hails from upstate NY considers Buffalo a 2nd home and was delighted to return to their old stomping grounds for a sold out crowd. UB is where the band first started back in the early 90′s and they have had an incredible following here throughout the years. Friday nights show was epic with classics such as Tailspin & Captain America. Highlights included the funked out “Tubing The River Styx” and crowd pleasing “Bear Song” which saw an incredible crowd interaction between moe. and the Buffalo faithful. This was my second time seeing moe. and they blew me away. Art Park in Lewiston is by far my favorite venue for live shows in WNY. moe. knows how to headline a show playing for a total of over 3 hours. This set includes a sick 27 minute Brent Black as well as a mind blowing Plane Crash at the end of the second set. Get out and see these guys while you can. Thursday In The Square in Buffalo continued its best ever jam band lineup last night with “An Evening With moe.” moe. came on at 5:30 to delight of thousands of fans for a homecoming show. This Buffalo based band was glad to be home in the city were they started in 1990. 17 years later they have established them selves as one the touring jam bands bands on the scene. Both sets were awesome and you could see moe. feeding off the energy of the crowd and truly glad to be playing on the home turf.
