They are in the midst of blasting off with their newest studio album – “Behind Closed Eyes” – which features Mike Rempel of Lotus on two tracks. The band has opened for Big Gigantic, Rubblebucket, Eliot Lipp, The Malah, Alex B, Family Groove Co and many others. They have performed at tons of venues and festivals throughout the region. Closing out the night after bouncy, psychedelic, dub-tastic sets by both Sub Swara and Ott, the electrifying trio from Canada cleaned up with a solid two hour dance party. Buffalo continues to have one of it’s best fall lineups in years. Just over the past few weeks we’ve seen, moe., Mike Gordon, STS9, and now the electronic, progressive, instrumental sensation Lotus at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY. Disco Biscuits Throw Down @ Thursday At The Square 06.05.08

Last night was sick. It was my 2nd time seeing Bisco and this is one of the best shows we’ve covered at The Square in downtown Buffalo. We got down there early and the guys from Philly opened at 6:30 with Kitchen Mittens. They moved through some of their originals including a sick Jigsaw Earth jam. When they broke into a ruckus cover of Rage Against The Machines ‘Killing In The Name Of’ the Buffalo heads started moshing and jumping all over the place in pure elation.
