Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup | June 9-12th 2011
MANCHESTER, TN – Bonnaroo is celebrating it’s 10 year anniversary this year and has just announced their 2011 lineup. This appears to be the least jam centric lineup to date. The festival has really gotten away from it’s roots 10 years ago where it featured the best jam bands in the country. Widespread Panic returns to headline the festival after a 2 year absence. Other jam band artists include Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, The Warren Haynes Band, Mumford & Sons, & String Cheese Incident. The lineup also includes a performance by Buffalo Springfield, featuring original members Neil Young, Stephen Stills and Richie Furay. This year will see the return of Superjam and will feature a one-time…
Bonnaroo 2010 Lineup
So far Bonnaroo appears to be back tracking from last years more jam based lineup. We’re hoping for a Phish announcement soon and glad to see the return of Umphrey’s McGee. Also it would be sick to see Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad playing in one of the big tents inside the event. Last year GPGDS played some sick campground sets. Other BTJ favorites include 311, MMW, The Avett Brothers, Black Keys, Bisco, Rebelution, & Lotus. Artists confirmed for Bonnaroo 2010: Dave Matthews Band Kings of Leon Stevie Wonder Jay-Z Conan O’Brien Tenacious D Weezer The Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon featuring Stardeath and White Dwarfs The Dead Weather Damian Marley and…

Fans from across the country converged on Manchester TN today for the first day of the Bonnnaroo Music Festival. The fans were greeted by long lines getting into the venue. Some campers who showed up mid day Friday found them selves waiting in line for as long as their car drive was – in some cases up to five hours. Tent campers had a chance to test out their rain gear when torrential downpours came through around noon with hail and high winds. Some festival goers made out better than others. One poor fan had this to say via Twitter: “Drove 780 miles to bonnaroo, spent a grand, waited in car line for 4 hours……

Bonnaroo 2009 Lineup
June 11th – 14th 2009 Bonnaroo returns for it’s 7th year with a little bit of everything for all types of music fans. This festival is no longer the jam band staple that it was in its early years when Phil Lesh & Friends played before 100,000 people in a farmers field but with the addition of Phish to the lineup we’re going to give it some press here at BandsThatJam. Since being bought by Clear Channel the festival has taken on a more alternative line up with a much more commercialized atmosphere. This is obvious with top 40 radio band Bruce Springton as the headliner. It looks like festival organizers came to their senses…
