NYACK, NY - Stereopticon is a 4 man funk based jam band from Elmira New York that specializes in improvisation and original songwriting. The band includes Jonny Peris (guitar, vocals), Kevin Fitch (bass, vocals), Dan Swartz (keyboards, vocals), and Jesse Douglass (Drums). They are regulars in Rochester, Binghamton, Elmira, and Oswego. The band has been together the past 4 years, and have progressed from playing local bars and clubs to headlining regional music halls and earning  festival spots. CHICAGO - Last Saturday Umphrey’s McGee performed their 2nd anual UMBOWL in Chicago. This is a unique concert experience for Umphrey’s McGee’s most loyal fans. The show is broken down into 4 “quarters” of music. Each quarter having a different theme. Quarter 1 was “Choose Your Own Experience.” Fans where presented with a list of song choices to decide the opening tunes. Fans voted via text message and the results where tallied in real time. Progressive reggae band John Brown’s Body kicks off a west coast tour with Galactic this Friday in Seattle, WA. The run concludes with a two-night stint at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA. JBB will share the stage with New Zealand’s Katchafire April 8 & 9 in Colorado. They’ll be celebrating 4/20 in NYC with Easy Star All-Stars at the Highline Ballroom. Xavier Rudd Spring 2011 Tour

  Multi-instrumental Australian sensation Xavier Rudd has announced a US Spring Tour that kicks off in Aspen at the Belly Up on April 28th and criss crosses the US before closing out in Austin on May 24th.
