Phil Lesh & Friends @ Shea’s Performing Arts MP3′s & PICS 10.18.07

Last week I claimed that Gov’t Mule was the show currently on tour and after last night mind blowing experiencing at Shea’s in Buffalo, I stand corrected this lineup of Phil Lesh & Friends has their sound dialed. I saw Phil & Friends at Mountain Jam this year and while that was a great show I didn’t think that Phil sounded all that great. Last night Phil made a believer out of me. I’ll be sure to check out any show of his anytime I have the chance. The crowd at Shea’s was great. Security was fairly lax and let people stand in the aisle. During the 2nd set the place was jam packed. As…

Gov’t Mule @ UB | Torrent Pics 10.10.07

Gov’t Mule jammed on Monday night in Buffalo. It was a cool rainy night but we didn’t mind making the trip up to UB Performing Arts Center for one of the best bands currently on tour. Grace Potter & The Nocturnals opened the evening with a great set. When Gov’t Mule hit the stage they were dead on at this great sounding venue. Unring The Bell in the second set was the highlight of the show with Warren going nuts on the improv. Many thanks to Chris for uploading a great audience recording of this show. To grab the FLAC files for this show check out the torrent at etree.org A few tracks are available…

Keller Williams | 08.09.07 | Buffalo

I missed the show this week at Lafayette Square as I was camping at Allegheny State Park for the week. I had planned on coming back on Thursday but I was having too much fun in the wilderness to make it back to town midweek. After listening to the show I’m kicking myself for not making it. I’m sure the hippies of Buffalo were glad to hear a few Greatful Dead jams including the encore “Women Are Smarter.” KW is one of a kind musician who has played jam festival Bonnaroo and Red Rocks. If you haven’t had a chance to listen to KW yet I’d highly recommend downloading this high quality set. The show…

Exclusive: YMSB – Buffalo Video

Yesterday was awesome. YMSB came on as the opener for the 21st Thursday In The Square free concert series in Buffalo, NY. YMSB loves playing this venue and repeatedly told the fans how grateful they were that we came out early and withstood the rain to watch them perform. As usual the crowd was really into the bands high energy bluegrass with everyone dancing and singing along.

Thursday In The Square in Buffalo continued its best ever jam band lineup last night with “An Evening With moe.” moe. came on at 5:30 to delight of thousands of fans for a homecoming show. This Buffalo based band was glad to be home in the city were they started in 1990. 17 years later they have established them selves as one the touring jam bands bands on the scene. Both sets were awesome and you could see moe. feeding off the energy of the crowd and truly glad to be playing on the home turf. There was a short downpour during Nebreska and the whole crowd went crazy. If you haven’t been to a…

Great Blue Heron 2007 – Review, Video, & MP3′s

The weather was perfect with three days of sun, blugrass and zydeco music at The Great Blue Heron festival. The first day we saw a couple of great performances by Kelly and The Cowboys, Slo-mo, John & Mary and The Valkyries, and the Sim Redmond Band. On Saturday there was a drumming workshop with Jim Donovan (of Rusted Root.) About 40 people packed into the tent for 2 hours of a drumming. Saturday also featured a performance by Big Leg Emma, Entrain, The Avett Brothers, and of course Donna The Buffalo with the last set of the evening. Here’s a 2 sets for download from the festival from Jim McGee: Donna The Buffalo – Great…

Sam Roberts Band | Buffalo 7/5/2007 MP3′s & Pics

Last night the masses descended on downtown Buffalo for another free show at “Thursday In The Square.” Sam Roberts put on an high energy show for the Buffalo faithful. Sam Roberts told the crowd that this was the highlight of their summer. My friend Shawn caught one of the drummers drum sticks that he threw into the crowd. He laid claim to it after wrestling it out of the hand of a Canadian standing next to us. Good work Shawn! The guys over at UpstateTapers have uploaded an audience recording of the show. Thanks to Daniel Goodwin for taping and uploading. To view the setlist and download in FLAC format click here Sam Roberts Band…

Derek Trucks Band – Live at Art Park 7/3/2007

Last night I went to see the Derek Trucks Band play at one of the sweetest venue’s I’ve ever been too – Art Park in Lewiston, NY. They put on a great show in front of a very enthusiastic crowd. Derek Trucks (of Allman Brothers fame) showed us why he is considered one of Rolling Stones new Guitar Gods with some extended improvisational jams. Guest appearances during the show included Derek’s younger brother Duane Trucks (not uncle as previously stated) and Chuck Campbell of the Campbell Brothers on the slide guitar. Thanks to Chris Prezioso for taping this show and uploading it to the archive one day after the show. You can grab in The…
