Photo’s courtesy of youshisushi Last night was awesome once again. We were treated to our 5th free jam band of the summer courtesy of Buffalo Place at the “Thursday In The Square” concert series. The John Butler Trio jammed out for two solid hours. The set started with “I Used To Get High” at 7pm and closed out with a three song encore just after 9pm. The highlight of the show was a 6 minute drum solo in the middle of “Good Excuse” where drummer Michael Barker lit the crowd up. Exclusive: YMSB – Buffalo Video
Yesterday was awesome. YMSB came on as the opener for the 21st Thursday In The Square free concert series in Buffalo, NY. YMSB loves playing this venue and repeatedly told the fans how grateful they were that we came out early and withstood the rain to watch them perform. As usual the crowd was really into the bands high energy bluegrass with everyone dancing and singing along.

Last night the masses descended on downtown Buffalo for another free show at “Thursday In The Square.” Sam Roberts put on an high energy show for the Buffalo faithful. Sam Roberts told the crowd that this was the highlight of their summer. My friend Shawn caught one of the drummers drum sticks that he threw into the crowd. He laid claim to it after wrestling it out of the hand of a Canadian standing next to us. Good work Shawn! The guys over at UpstateTapers have uploaded an audience recording of the show. Violent Femmes | 6/22/07 Review & Download
Last Thursday the music hungry faithful of Buffalo descended on the city for some true classic alternative rock and roll. Violent Femmes returned to Thursday In The Square in downtown Buffalo for the 2nd year in a row. The crowd consisted of teenagers who “were brought up on the Femmes” to older fans in their 30′s and 40′s reliving their youth. The band played many songs off it’s debut album from 1983 to a very enthusiastic crowd.
