Umphrey’s McGee Winter 2011 Tour Dates
After taking a break over the holidays with only a handful of shows Umphrey’s McGee winter tour will kick off at the end of January with a four night run with BTJ favorites Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad. The tour also features shows in the northeast, midwest, a Colorado run and than back to the southeast US before closing out the tour in California & Arizona. LIVE OAK, Florida – Special thanks to my wife Erin Slayter, The Sweaty Mouse, for her coverage of the festival so far. She’s been on a year-long adventure documenting festival greening & sustainability, and in her off time manages to catch a few shows. Awesome photos. As much as I love the pics, I’m really really jealous of her right now! Here’s an update: “The official pre-party to the weekend’s blow-out ahead, Umphrey’s McGee gave a stellar two-set performance that got the crowd well prepped for a weekend of all out RAGE! Ever thought you could design a better logo for Umphrey’s McGee? Well here’s your chance. Chicago-based rockers Umphrey’s McGee are seeking a new logo/theme for 2011 with the help of the Creative Allies art community. The genre-spanning and barrier busting sextet seeks a visual interpretation of their name that represents the musically muscular and relentlessly inventive sound the band has cultivated both live and in the studio over the past 12 years.
